Hybrid Passive & Active Man‑Pack Direction Finder
Hybrid man‑portable RF geolocation system integrating passive sweeping and active cellular positioning, delivering fast target lock for tactical field operations.
Overview
Hybrid Passive & Active Man‑Pack Direction Finder. This all‑in‑one man‑portable direction finder combines passive large‑area scanning and active cellular targeting modules. Designed for field tactical deployment, it supports collaborative multi‑unit geolocation for 2G‑5G mobile devices, improving positioning speed and operational reliability under complex radio environment.
Work Principle
Hybrid Positioning Workflow. The backend system retrieves target‑related BTS information. The man‑pack unit performs passive wide‑band signal sweeping for rough area detection. When candidate signals are acquired, active mode is triggered to page the target terminal. The portable field equipment captures signal energy and computes precise geolocation. Multiple devices can work cooperatively to enhance positioning performance.
