Active Cellular Direction Finder
SDR‑based active cellular location solution supporting vehicle‑mounted and man‑pack deployment, used to capture IMSI/IMEI and geolocate 2G‑5G mobile handsets for tactical law‑enforcement operations.
Overview
Active Cellular Direction Finder. Built upon software‑defined radio architecture, this all‑in‑one tactical system supports dual deployment modes: vehicle‑mounted chassis and portable man‑pack unit. It emulates cellular neighbour‑cell to interact with surrounding mobile terminals, extract subscriber identifiers and achieve geolocation for 2G‑5G devices. Non‑target mobile phones are handed‑back to real base‑stations without disrupting normal subscriber communications for field investigation tasks.
Workflow
Virtual Neighbour‑Cell Working Flow. The system acts as a simulated cellular base‑station. Nearby mobile phones attach to this virtual neighbour‑cell. Target devices are retained for data acquisition and locking. All non‑target handsets are immediately released and handed over back to operator real‑world BTS, avoiding interference to ordinary mobile‑phone services. Operators conduct target monitoring and positioning from the control terminal.
